  1. The Mortal Instruments by cassandra clare. if you read a lot then definitely give these a try!!!!!!! they are fantastic and with the same kinda themes as twilight, with vampires, werewolves, innocent girl, hunky guy........

  2. You might like the Avalon series by Marion Zimmer Bradley.  They're set in Britain from 1st century AD to 6th century AD and they're about the King Arthur myths.  The third book is called the 'Mists of Avalon' and that's probably the best one - I couldn't put it down when I was reading it.  The first two are called 'The Forest of Avalon' and Lady of Avalon'.

I don't know how old you are but you might like to try Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles?  Start with 'Interview with the Vampire', the next two are 'The Vampire Lestat' and 'Queen of the Damned'.  They are absolutely excellent books!

  3. If you like mystery and fantasty, you'll definitely like "Just Ella" or "The City of Ember". They are both great books! I read them last summer. "Just Ella" is about a girl who marries the prince and finds life harder than she imagined. "The City of Ember" is about a world different from ours where people don't really choose their jobs, they are assigned there jobs. When one of the main characters gets her new job, she learns secrets of the city. I hope you try out these books, because they're great!

  4. OMG! x- kaydar!

promise me u'll read books by this author!!!!!!!!!!!! pleeease theyre so freaken good!!!!

    books by rachel hawthorne!

    found at all libraries!!!!

    AWESOMENESSSSSSS BOOKSSSSSS

  5. I like the Thursday Next books by Jasper Fforde. Thurdsay Next is a time cop in Great Britian in a parallel world to ours. Things are different but the same. Thursday is able to go into the Book World and get criminals who go there and change things in famous books. You'll meet Jane Austen, Emma, Mr. Darcy, Heathcliffe from Wuthering Heights and so many other characters. It's a really fun, adventerous read.  There are 4 books in the series.

  6. Lord of the Rings

Percy Jackson and the Olympians series

    Any books by Madeleine L'engle

Sarah Dessen books; my favorites were The Truth about Forever and This Lullaby (Wes and Dexter are awesome; you'll see what I mean if you read them)

His Dark Materials trilogy by Philip Pullman

Meg Cabot is really fun; I liked Avalon High and her Mediator series.

That's all I can think of right now, but all those books/authors I mentioned make my top ten list, so go for it!

    Hope I helped! =)

  7. "Looking Glass Wars" by Frank Beddor. i dont know the name of the trilogy but LGW is the first book, the whole trilogy is an awesome alternative Alice In Wonderland.

His Dark Materials Trilogy by Philip Pullman

Darren Shan Saga (12 book series on Vampires and an on-goin series on Demons aka. The Demonata)
