i asked this same question when they were just little peepers but now Simon (the rooster) is begining to crow and is more mature. What breed do you think they are? My parents and I have a few guesses, but i would like some outside info. Thank you!

  1. firstly, to the first responder - bantam is a size, not a breed.

It is definately not Ameraucana, they have a pea comb and yours do not. If you had a picture of the rooster I would be able to tell you, but most hens are very similar. They may even be crossbreeds. But try to post a pic of the rooster for me :)

    **EDIT**

Well it is hard to tell. maybe wait till he is fully grown, then email me with pics, or post a new question and send me the link? I will be able to tell you for certain once he is fully grown (looking at body shape, comb + wattle, legs etc etc) most of these people are just guessing because of the colour.

  2. You might try this site.

  3. Um..They looked pretty much like the bushchickens. Yum! Yum!

  4. they look like my Auracana cross chickens.  What color eggs are you getting?  if they are green or blue, they are at least part Auracana.

  5. 20pc mcnugget

  6. that is my ex

  7. if i have to guess i'd say Rhode Island Red young roosters.

  8. I am not sure but I think they are Ameraucana

  9. The reddish one with the black tips looks a lot like aRhode Island  or New Hampshire Red, then hen looks more like a black star, but her comb isn't terribly big to tell and their neck feathers are variable.

I've got chickens, including these ones.

  10. well.. I have dial up so the picture only half loaded..

I woudl guess Mille Fleur cross...

see this link on good pet chicken breeds - it might give you some ideas too...

  11. Maybe its a bantam crossed with something... I don't know...
