What Brisbane suburb is best for single female in her 20's?

Question

I am moving from the US and want a social area that has good transportation (I will not have a car). I want to be near the center of the city and close to wherever I can find temporary work. What are some great young fun areas?

West End (where I live) It's handy enough for town, you have City Cat, Busses, plenty of nice bars and trendy restaurants.  

Toowong is pretty cool too, it's just on the other side of the river from West End, and my favourite pub is there.  the RE, it's great!!

I also recommend Milton, it's just on the river again, and is a very modern suburb.  

The Valley  (Fortitude Valley) is a cool place too, everything is in the Valley, bands, bars, restaurants, street markets

The guy who answered your question first hit the nail on the head. Excellent choices and they all have good transport and are for the younger crowd. Do a search online for those places to find out more. Also for some extra help go to:

Off the top of my head, Bulimba, or Fortitude Valley are both good spots for singles with loads of cafes and bars, and good transpoort links via the Citycat.
