There are no passenger trains in Mexico.  There is excellent bus service.  You need tocal or go to the main bus station in San Antonio to ask about the schedule to McAllan, then n on to monteerey.. There are many buses each day...but it is hard to get the info on line.   Here is anexcellent article on taking the bus  to and in Mexico.
