What COLORS will the Gold Coast team wear ?

My suggestion would the aussie colors, "Green and Gold " which are not currently used . An all green jumper with gold flashes over the shoulder, like the white on Ports jumper. Won't clash with other clubs either !

Green & gold look shocking as a football strip. I have seen country clubs wearing that combination & no-one can come up with a pattern that makes them look attractive. They wont be chosen as a new teams colours. No way.

Royal blue & black should be adopted. Just like Essendon's colours but changing the red to royal blue.

Never thought of green and gold. I always thought light blue, dark blue and light Grey (if it was either sharks or stingrays) would look good and wouldn't clash with other team jumpers all ready. It really depends on what animals/emblem the team has then you will be able to match colours which resemble it.

**Although I like your suggestion I think most people would associate teh green and gold with the Olympics are they're our 'Aussie colours' so I don't think the new Gold Coast team should have those colours.

Maybe they could have a purple and yellow, something different that won't clash with other sides.  The only other team that has purple is Fremantle.**

Hopefully, the new Gold Coast team will be called the Marlins. It would be GREAT if the team colours are black, royal blue & white.

football teams from all codes tend to avoid green as a major colour because it often doesnt stand out very well in a game played on green grass, thats why its also used in many umpires unforms, so you don't notice them so much whatching on tv,

that said, the new york jets white and green jersey looks pretty good, maybe something like that ;-)

coz theres not too many colours left is there.. i mean if dockers had to resort to purple!

maybe orange like many have said.. why not pink? they'd get a big fan base hehe

by the way, i'd be seriously unhappy for a team to get australias colours. that would be h**l unfair, i for sure would hate that team!

Green and Gold sounds good.

They could also wear orange, which no club has taken yet. Maybe orange and gold for the sun?

They've been told not to wear vertical stripes or a sash (like tiges and dons) so they don't clash, so I think they'll have a different design of jumper.

Will be interesting to see what happens!

The maroon to represent QLD like they do in NRL

The alternate strip would be reversed, White with either the Maroon V on the front or the sash.

I'm with you Sue T. Black and blue. Just like the Royals! I was hoping the Dockers were going to adopt those colours but they  chose purple and green instead! No wonder I hate them.

Then it was Port Adelaide but they went with whatever that God awful colour is....

So here's hoping that the Gold Coasters choose it and that they don't suck while wearing it!

i rekon green and gold would look FERAL!! obviously u have no taste in footy fashion...

i think they should adopt the nrl titans' colours..

they r very popular on the coast up here and i think the people who dont mind either code will appreciate some consistency..

like if i cared bout nrl (which i dont) i would buy my afl merch. and still wear it 2 a couple of nrl games or vice versa..

smashitup: i read that on the site also however i think they r just suggestions (not positive tho)... they havent officially decided on colour or name but i think colours should come after name coz u cant have a team like stingrays, sharks or dolphins wearing green and gold, pink and orange or anythin like that..

the name should suit the team... especially if an animal with distinct colours ie. tigers

can u imagine if the tigers were blue?? it just wouldnt work so either they need 2 match the colour 2 the name chosen or match a name 2 the colours chosen...

I like the Black & Blue suggestion - same as the mighty Royals here in WA!!

I think Pink & Orange would probably fit in more with a new Sydney team and then if they don't get to join ina grand final parade, they can join the annual parade in Sydney! lol
