What Can I Do To PrevenT Child Abuse?

Hi all,

I have experienced child abuse ( I am 13 and was abused when I was 4-9), and I want to know what I can do to prevent other kids from going what I went through. Is there like a charity or organisation I can do to help?

omg dats terrible !! u should go to the police !!! i mean...not to turn in the ppl who were abusing u (if u dun want 2 dat is) but just  to find out. say u want 2 do sumthing to stop it. i suggest asking ppl around u, looking over the internet, going 2 community centres (like the Centrelink in Australia), joining an online forum or sumthing to support (look over the UN sites, they probably have sumthing for 'Welfare of Children', teachers or sumthing in skool

u know ur location the best and i suggest u see what u can do around there

i also suggest that maybe write a story about ur own life (u can choose to remain anonymous) and get it published in books like Reader Digest, Chicken Soup, your community magazines, etc. it will give hope to many people.

That's awesome that you want to help others so they don't have to go through what you did. Unfortunately I don't know of any organizations sorry. =( I just wanted to respond and give you "props". There should be more people like you in the world. =)
