1. You can give them ants eggs.

  2. Peas 'purge' their system (great for constipation in fish). You can feed them most veg & fish - i give mine cucumbers, lettuce, grated carrots and sometimes - oranges...but it depends on your fish, (my fish were supposed to LOVE grapefruit but they just eyed it up suspiciously, and refused to go near it).

they love brineshrimp too! if you buy them frozen you can just keep em in your freezer and use as needed.

p.s. upgrade your bowl to a tank - your fish will thank you for it - bowls can significantly cut their lifespan.

  3. i feed mine bread cause i didnt have any other food for them

  4. I'm thinking of feeding mine some defrosted frozen brine shrimp (available from fish shops). Also - I heard Radio One's Edith Bowman say she fed her goldfish bread once and it exploded! Wouldn't want to risk that!

  5. You Don't need to always feed your fish on flake food . You could feed them on ant eggs , which I do with my fish , and they seem to love , and it's supposed to be very good for them . You could also feed them frozen peas . I feed my fish it once a week , they love it and it's very good for them , and prevents them getting swim bladder diseases . There's lots of different things to feed , fish just go to your local pet shop and see what there is .

  6. Feed them any kind of vegetables - definitely NOT bread, this is very dangerous and irresponsible!!!!!

They will love frozen brine shrimp or bloodworm, and you can also buy this in jellied in little tubes. Courgette and carrot also go down really well (make sure you boil the carrot until its soft). The variation will keep them healthy, keep their colours bright and you'll have happy fishies!

  7. Dried bloodworm (occasionally)

  8. bloodworm frozen, dried bloodworm, brine shrimp, tubefex, krill.

    kOi keeper & goldfish keeper

  9. Well to be honest I don't really think that your goldfish is going to be much worried about having a 'varied diet'

My fish is perfectly happy swimming in circles and eating his little fish flakes.

  10. aswell as flakes and pelletts goldfish eat orange but not to much also if you find they have swim bladder (u notice them swimming on their side ) you can fed them a pea but make sure you take the skin off and break the pea up it will make them poo and will cure the swim bladder bread also hope this helps

  11. THERE'S PLENTY OF FOODS OTHER THAN FLAKES! Try out these exciting foods for your fish;

    - Shelled peas

    - Lettuce

    - Cut up earthworms

    - Oranges

    - Cucumber

    - Zucchini

    - Blood worms (found in the freezer at the local pet store)

    - Daphnia (found in the freezer at the local pet store)

    - Infusoria (Make your own: Leave a container of water with a banana skin and lettuce leaf. It'll turn cloudy with small creatures - yummy food for your little fishies!)

    GOOD LUCK
