What Can I do to get better on playing the flute?

Question

i just started playing the flute about two weeks ago

if you want to hear me first i am going to post up a video

of me playing it should be up there soon on youtube

search i'm a believer and hopefully you will find the right

video!! and if you want to hear me playing the sax i also have a video you can check for sebastian playing There you'll be!! And maybe one of these days i will post a video of me playing the clarinet if you can give tips on any of these instruments please go ahead thank you!!

I have been playing flute for 4 years, and as another person has stated, practice is the main thing. However, when you play the higher notes, such as middle 'F' and up, you want to speed up the air, like you're whistling... and when you play lower notes, you wanna act like you're pouting(Drop your jaw). Also make sure your mouth/embrochure is correct. I'm sure you'll get everything perfect soon! Good luck!

3) Immerse yourself in Flute stuff

read articles, join flute groups both on the net and in your community. There are lots of conflicting information out there so immerse your self in it and experiment to see what works for you in the practice room! There are some great teachers out there who have flute sites some are below

Hi Mike... If you want to get better at playing the flute.. you really do have to carve out a little piece of your day to practice....    But another very good tip to getting better quicker is to play with other flute players.  If you could, form a flute club of about 3 to 7 players.   This way all of you benefit and have fun at the same time.  You can play duets...3 on first part - 4 on second part  or emsembles.... There will be a number of flute players there who can give suggestions and help with problems that anyone has.  It is a great idea and here where I live,  we get instruments together to help one another get in the practice time while having loads of fun.  Hope that was a different suggestion you can think about doing.   I know it works as most college students do it.   Thanks for reading.
