  1. With a degree in Anthropology, you can apply for grants from either a non-profit private source such as Universities, National Geographic, the Smithsonian Institute, etc...., or a government agency to fund your research projects.  To be approved, it has to be a subject topic that had never been researched before.  Say you applied for funding research on the Navajo Indians; they'd likely turn you down, because numerous studies had already been made on the Navajos.  Say you made contact with extraterrestrial aliens from a distant galaxy, and they allowed you to live with them on their ship.  Every source of grant funding would be lining up to get exclusive rights to your research.   The other option, is becoming a teacher or college professor, specializing in anthropology.

  2. You can be an anthropologist or one of the anthropology specialists:

    archaeologist

    enthnologist

    linguist

    biological anthropologist

    cultural anthropologist

Usually, these people work in academia as professors who do research, publish their findings and teach.

You can work in natural science, anthropology or some historical museums.

Forensic anthropologists examine bones and other artifacts of crimes to reconstruct what happened during the crime.

You can work as a park ranger, in Arizona at least. They look for people with anthropology backgrounds, because they have Indian ruins that need caretaking as well as well as their public nature preserves.

There are probably some positions in the government where knowledge of artifacts would be needed.

An bachelor's degree in anthropology is fine for continuing on to graduate school in many other fields, such as medicine, dentistry, business, law, etc. (as long as the pre-requisite courses for those are also taken).

  3. You could do lots of things with an anthropology major. Many times these types of majors will not stop at a four year degree, but will pursue a specialty (archeology, cultural, evolutionary). Anthropologists can be teachers, work for corporations (that help with diversifying and referencing for employees and target populations), work closely with other scientists and researchers, and even be a freelance writer/researcher. If it is your passion, you will find a way to make it work. If none of my answers seem interesting, you could ask your own professors at the University you're attending and inquire to them, since they're the experts.

    Good luck!

  4. With just an undergrad degree in Anthro, you can't do a whole lot if you want to stay in the Anthro field.  There is a lot of work in CRM, but you need to have archaeological experience such as a field school.  If you have experience with material culture, you might be able to go into the museum field.  I guess it all depends upon what you want to do, but to really make it in this field, you need to have at least a masters and preferably a PhD.  You can get jobs in the different areas of anthropology with just an undergrad degree, but you'd need to have experience via internships or volunteer work to get anywhere.  Anthropology can also be a stepping stone into other fields and enhance another degree.
