  1. i'm just a nurse aide ican tell you u must have patience .love, and heart for the sick &disabled.  liscensed nurses supervise aides give meds shots wound care etc lots of paper work involved.

    ..

  2. it depends what department you work in at a hospital but you are basically the doctors and patients right hand doing various things like giving medication, feeding, communicating with the doctor and prepping the patient for various procedures. they make between 55 to 84k per year. I would also check out the Nursing page at PureMedicalJobs.com

  3. It is a fabulous career. The money is decent, most new graduate nurses make between $21-30/hour. You will have no trouble finding a job, which is a big deal in today's economy.

The best thing about nursing is that there are opportunities for advancement. You can go to graduate school and be a practitioner, anesthetist, educator, manager, doctorate, etc.

The second best thing is that there are so many fields available to prevent burnout. You can deliver babies, work with Hospice and do home health, work for insurance companies, be a flight nurse, school nurse, psych, etc. etc.
