What Can You do to get something off your exhaust pipe?

I was wearing athletic pants and it touched my exhaust pipe on my motorcycle.. What can i do to get it off? Can i buy anything or what is the secret?

depends on what part of the exhaust. If it's on the shiny part of your exhaust try soap and water with a sponge.

Oven cleaner works on most melted on material.

If you use steel wool on chrome use 4/0.

I've been able to just peel melted on Frogg Togg material off of a cold exhaust.

WD-40 and a fine steel wool, spray it let it sit and then rub it.

Get it hot and then try to rub it off with a rag.

Or, if you run it enough it should just burn off.  I had a plastic bag make a mess once (I set the bag down without paying attention) and it just burned off after a while.

Like was said.  some WD-40 and some 0000 steel wool.  Have to use 0000 wool though, anything courser could scratch the chrome.  Even then, you don't want to really push hard on it.

If there is a lot of stuff on your pipes, try using a heat gun to soften it and get some off first.
