Toronto is the obvious one. (U of Toronto)

Next comes Vancouver. (UBC)

After that there's either Calgary or Edmonton. (U of Alberta and U of Calgary)

Those are basically the only places that are worth studying in. The other universities around are basically no namers.

Toronto - The largest city, very cosmopolitan.

Winnipeg - Long history involving the opening up of the west, the fur trade, railroad, Winnipeg general strike, etc.

Churchill - The north, polar bears, inuit culture, etc

Vancouver - Links to the Pacific and Asia, west coast culture, Expo 86, Olympics.
