What Charity for block party?

Question

I am having a really cool block party, with tons of acticities that cost like 10 cents each. I want a charity that helps with kids in Africa. I want less then 10% of the funds to go to sponsoring. I also thought about it going toward animals like polar bears.

What is your favorite? I still prefer the Africa. If you can add the links, that would be nice too.

As much as african's are suffering too many people are sponsoring them and I don't believe they are really getting anything done. Leave that to big stars such as Angelita Jolie, Pamala Anderson, etc. On the other hand no one really sponsers animals. You hear about people donating money everyday to other countries. Africa is corrupted Africans kill Africans as if they are better than one another. I'd say go for the animals. Every penny counts!

The South Africa Development Fund (SADF), formerly known as Fund for a Free South Africa, was established in 1985 by exiles living in the United States to help bring attention and an end to South Africa's apartheid system and to reverse its political and social impact. Today SADF provides grants to community-based organizations committed to non-sexist, non-racial, democratic practices and which address human rights through health, education, economic development, environmental justice and democracy-building. SADF uses its grant making to focus on the needs of the most disadvantaged sectors of South Africa: women, children, rural people, unemployed, residents of informal settlements, elderly and disabled. To date, SADF has sent over nine million dollars in grants to organizations in South Africa.
