I would like to know what kind of chicken you all think this may be. This picture was taken about a month ago, and the child in it is my daughter, lol. Any help would be great! Thanks!

  1. need to put picture so we can look at this bird none up!

  2. I think you forgot the pic.

ADD: Ah, that looks like a Rhode Island Red Hen.

Very pretty. I used to own some. They make just about the sweetest pets! Even the Roos are sweet. Infact, one of my Roosters let my children carry him around like a baby!

  3. well it it's definitely not a rhode island red . .  they are much darker in co-lour ( a mahogany co lour really)

It could be a buff orpington

But it would be a bit more featherier and "bulkier"

but tbh i am almost 100% sure it is either

a golden rocket or a red rocket

these are types of hybrids very common. but fairly new

    (i couldn't manage to find a photo)

Otherwise it's probably a mix breed

(but a very nice one at that btw)

  4. Is there a way to post a pic on here?  Ask that Q in groups - go to Chickens 101, join up (free) and you can post the pic.  Lots of chicken lovers will know right away.  Guaranteed.
