  1. Avoid drinking, smoking, caffeine, aspartame

When cleaning do not use bleach!

CLEANING IS SAFE, but your husband doesn't have to know that!

  2. you should be more worried about aspartame / phenylalenine (and its siblings like sucralose) and MSG, the brain-cell / nerve-cell killer chemicals !  It'll probably affect the baby worse than yourself.

Its more abundant than you might be aware of,  in soups (canned soups, dry soup mixes, etc) and in flavoured potatoe chips and nacho chips and corn chips, anything that brags about "more flavour" etc...

Also, avoid sodium-phosphates in foods like cheerios and other advertised brand cereals for example, shocking that they put TSP in it, the same chemical that hardware stores sell as heavy-duty cleaners in the paint departments, actually added as an ingredient in brand name cereals !

Start reading all your food ingredients before you might buy !!!

  3. yeah all of it! but my sister IS A CLEAN freak and she still cleaned while she was pregnant what I would do is use the all purpose clorox safety cleaning stuff that is safe around kids

  4. Hi, I'm confused! your question header is about cleaning supplies but the body text only mentions beverages?

I will first answer about the cleaning supplies:

Because there is such a plethorea of cleaning chemicals and they range from practically harmless to positively toxic, this means that you will have to do a little 'leg-work' as it were yourself, meaning, examine the contents/ingredients of the cleaning products you intend to use or that you already use regularly and research those ingredients on the net, be especially wary of any that can permeate the skin thereby getting directly into the bloodstream and adversly affecting the baby.

Another type to be extra careful with are those that create a fine mist or spray, these can be inhaled all too easily) or even can get into the eyes and cause blindness.

Now to answer the problem with getting off caffeine and sodas:

It is very hard to come off them because they are designed to have you come back for more and more (Thats how the companies make their profits).

Having said that, you CAN actually get off them, and the main requirement for doing so is that YOU yourself must want to get off them.

The main reason we drink them is twofold:

One - we are thirsty, but did you ever notice that no matter how much you drink of them you are still thirsty?

Two - the sugar content gives our brains a 'rush' and triggers a need for more.

and if you are thinking of cutting down by going on 'diet' versions, DON'T...

they contain various chemicals like Aspartame that are artificial sweetners (and neurotixins as well!, bad enough for adults but God knows what effect they have on developing brains?) that have 'sweetness' 100 times that of sugar and when your tounge tastes the 'sweetness' it triggers a response in the brain to expect lots of new energy (Sugar is used by the brain as energy) but wait! there is little or no actual sugar in these diet drinks, yet you brain is prepped and waiting for all this sugar! that never appears, so guess what, it sends signals that cause you to want want more soda so that it may get the sugar it is now expecting.

Thats why 'diet' versions are more dangerous than regular sodas.

OKAY, so how do you get off them?

First, get yourself a 2 litre jug and some Sea Salt (Natural 100% sea salt, NO additives like anti-caking agents etc)

then fill your jug from the kitchen (cold) tap or if your mains water is not great from the tap then get yourself a jug-filter unit (britta etc.) and use if to fill your water jug (separate from the filter jug).

Once you have your 2L jug filled with plain tap (or filtered) water add exactly half a teaspoon of the sea salt and stir it well.

Take two glasses of this salt water (you will barely be able to taste any saltiness) first thing in the morning (drink it straight down, instead of sipping at it over a period of time) about half an hour before breakfast, then about 2.5 hours after eating have another glass, repeat this sequence before each meal until you have drank your eight (8oz) glasses of water per day.

The first few days are going to be the hardest but you will find a remarkable result in your body's health after about the third or fourth week.

    IMPORTANT!

You MUST cut out all caffeine containg products (Caffeine is toxic BTW) and all alcohol (It a diuretic).

You will be glad that you started, your health will improve and you will lose weight and have more energy, all these improvements will augur well for having a baby and your body will be a much better place for it to grow and develop.

    Good Luck.
