What Clubs make up your Golf Bag?

Hi,

I've only been playing serious golf for the past 6 months and have successfully caught the golf virus:-)

I'm interest in what type of clubs, with regards to club type and loft etc, that other golfers have in their bags. I want to get an idea of the variety and different strategies that people use to improve their game.

I currently have in my bag:

9* Driver (R7 Draw)

15* 3-wood (Srixon i4)

19* Hybrid (Srixon i4)

22* Hybrid (Srixon i4)

4 - SW irons (Srixon i4)

Best thing you can do is get fitted when you feel comfortable with you swing.  And dump the "game improvement" clubs from your bag, like all these oversized cavity backs and "anti-slice" super-offset woods.  If you really want to get good at the sport, then play with blades and regular offset woods.  You'll never learn to swing properly if you have "cheater" clubs in your bag.

Oh, and for Pete's sake, man, get a nice putter!  Your flatstick is your money maker!

I play Tour Edge for all of my clubs (3-SW, Driver 10 degree, 3 wood, and 5 wood) with the lone exception of my putter and it is a White Hot....

Tour Edge clubs are very underated and are very reasonably priced.

Your set sounds good for someone only playing six months, but unless "Crappy" is your nickname for a putter you can't miss with then upgrade first there.  I also agree with the answer that said stay away from game improvement clubs - learn to play with real clubs and learn a real swing.  There will be plenty of time when you grow old and your body won't let you make the good swing anymore to compensate with oversized perimeter weighted gadgets.

custom fit ping s59 irons. I'm 6'3" with long arms. white dot very upright. I play a variety of old Taylor Made Woods from a r320 9 degree to a 27 degree "5" wood. Always keep an ancient 12 degree Taylor Made Original One in the bag. Off the tee or on the fairway, it's a go-to club. Am switching between long irons, the Ping 3 &4, for a couple of old old Taylor Made lofted Metal Woods, and a Taylor Made Rescue 21 degree. not sold on these hybrids yet, either hit it pure or want to throw it in the pond.
