  1. You may major in any subject you wish. I have known students who were accepted to medical school with such diverse majors as journalism and religion in addition to the more common degrees in chemistry and biology.

You must, of course, include all the pre-med requirements in your courses, so this makes chemistry or biology the easiest major to complete.

You will be an undergraduate when you go to college. You can enroll for a graduate degree only after you have earned a bachelor's degree. A medical degree is considered a professional degree.

    I really hope this helps.

  2. Undergrad is a student who is just beginning college. A grad is someone who as graduated college and is taking other college courses to specify in their certain major, for example Biology.

  3. For general info on becoming a physician:  http://www.bls.gov/oco and can search 'physicians' or such.  (Please note that college 'human anatomy' doesn't usually transfer but instead general anatomy and physiology though it's best to check with the college(s) that one would like to transfer to.)

The undergraduate degree is a 4-year bachelor's if on a full-time basis.  A graduate degree is a master's degree and usually takes six years total, 2 years full-time from when receive bachelor's.  Medical school can take about ten years total between undergrad, medical school, residency and fellowship for sub-specialty.

One can generally major in any course of study for undergrad but most medical schools may prefer those students to have majored in one of the sciences such as biology, chemistry, biochem or such which can be a precursor of how they handle the intense coursework as well as clinical experience.  One needs to also take their mcat (medical college admissions test) as a prerequisite to acceptance into a medical school.
