play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to find something that you like. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family & color name, the "painted" rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. You don't really need a theme for your room, just a mood that you want to create.  Fun and playful?  Soothing and serene?  Then choose a comforter set that you love and choose a paint color from it to paint the walls.  Then the fun part...accessorizing with lamps, rugs, pillows, art, candles, etc.  Here are some examples of what you might like:
