What Colors Should My Room Be?

Question

Hi! So, Im Redoing My Room And I Narrowed It Down To The Top 2 That I Like. It's Between Chocalate And Turquoise Kind Of Relaxed, Calm Type Of Thing. Or, A Fun And Perky Bright Sort Of Thing Like, Green Orange Pink And Purple? Please Help And Tell Me Your Opinion! Thank You So Much!

Well it depends on who is gonna sleep in that room with you and what king of atmosphere you want in your room.

I would prefer the brown and turquoise because it looks more relaxing and sophificated but pink green and orange are such fun colors!

Kelsey - I'm in with the others - Chocolate and turquoise. Remember, you have to live with it, though. If money, time and energy, are easy to come by, I say do both. Why not? Enjoy the ability to make changes now before "life" catches up and you can't switch it up as the whim pleases. Good luck. LT

I like the Chocolate and turquoise. Those earthy colors can be very soothing. Although the perky room may be more fun to decorate! Keep in mind that with a perky room, you may get tired of it, and grow out of it quicker than a calm colored room...Hope i helped!

Firstly what style your like?

If you like  a  touch of glamor you can do damask motif with Red Rose color of wallpaper as your

feature wall and Pastel Pink for other wall.

If you like elegant calm you can used earth tone color like Chocolate Coco with Soft Grey or

Turquoise as u like for relaxing (resort chic style).

Apple Green,Burnt Orange,Light Pink and Orchid Purple maybe the style more to retro(fun)

Your room = your personality! Are you an active person who's energetic and likes sports? or do you like relaxing with a book? It all depends on what you like and also how old you are. If you are in your early teens, then maybe green/orange/purplr colors will be best for you. You'll have plenty of time in your life to go with classic colors. But if you are around 18 and up, I would go with brown/turquise.

The brown and turquoise will probably still be something you'll like a while from now.  The brights might get old fast.

You have to pick bedding and stuff before you can pick your wall colors!  What kind of bedspread and stuff do you have or want?  Pick something you love an pull some colors out of that.  

If you like chocolate and turquoise together, I would paint your walls turq and do a nice solid chocolate quilt or comforter with some fun and funky chocolate and turq throw pillows!

personally I am a huge fan of bright colors, I have this bedspread in my room from IKEA, in the Pink/multi color, and I painted my walls the purple that is in the bedspread!  I love it!

This bedspread is much brighter in person, my purple is kind of dark but my room is really big so I like it, makes it feel more cozy, if I had a smaller room I would have picked the green color out of it, because it is bright and funky!  

Pick some bedding and stuff and then pick your colors, just pick a color out of whatever pattern you get, there are tons of fun and hip bedding choices out there!
