  1. I will assume you have fabric at home. Cut it into strips, scarf length, but a little wider. Now, go down the sides and fringe. Done. Repeat MANY TMES. Then, donate them to City Team or somewhere else. Invite friends to bring fabric, old, new, and clean winter wear, etc.

  2. You can ask to make phone calls for the Police leagues for the fallen.

You could order a dumpster and have the community dump their garbage and trash in the area. Then pay for the removal of the garbage. I think a judge would accept it if you could not leave the house for a good reason.

You could cal all of your friends/family/acquaintances to deliver food to your house to be picked by a food pantry for the homeless

Ask the judge for an extension and double the hours left

A lot of times the volunteering needs to happen where the problem is. The clerical work that needs to be done is usually done in house. One of the most difficult thing for a volunteer system to do is develop and maintain relationships with volunteers. If you create a network where volunteers and people needing volunteers can call in and give a status that would be the biggest help in mobilizing support. example would be if there has been a lack of support at the chow lines, then you can make some calls and ge people signed up to support this volunteer activity. This is the same format as onebrick.org (see link below)

  3. Why do you need the five hours for???  I might be able to help.

  4. You can make Get Well cards for sick kids at the hospital...

It will cheer them up and you can put your creative skills to work. Check out this website too...they have lots of good ideas...

  5. You aren't going to make it by tomorrow.

Try Project Gutenberg, which is always in need of online volunteers to proofread texts:

    http://www.gutenberg.org/

In the future, try the Online Volunteering service
