  1. well i would check out the cruises out of san diego, that  way you would not be paying as much for airfare.

    try cruiseclues.com

    princess.com

    carnival.com

    cruisecritic.com

  2. You can get great deals on last minute cruises!  Check with the crusie lines and on travel sites!  Hope you get to go somewhere cool!

  3. Well first of all I hope that at least one of you is age 21 or older because that is the minimum age to book a cruise on all lines except Carnival which requires that at least one passenger in each cabin be age 25 or older.

Second, if you do not have a  lot of money then you should consider a short cruise like maybe a 2,3, or 4 day cruise; rather than a 7-day cruise.  You need to figure that the fare will be based on about $125 to $150.00 per day per person.  However, the cruise lines will list their prices for the entire cruise, not based on a daily rate.  And you also have to look to see if the fare listed also includes all of the taxes and port charges. Some advertised fares do, and some do not.

There are a number of cruise lines that do short cruises from west coast cities.  You could actually consider both San Diego and Long Beach/San Pedro.  We cruised out of Long Beach a couple years ago. you can drive there and park at the port for about $12. a day and it is a secured area.

The budget cruise line is Carnival and so they may have the best prices.  Book your cruise early to get the best price and also look on the cruise line web sites for specials; they will be listed there.

  4. Carnival is defiantely the cheapest cruise line.  So if you want to save money defiately them.  If you try and sail out of LA you need to take gas money and parking into consideration.  Don't sail out of LA if overall you are going to save $30.  parking is $10 a night anywhere, at any port. if you sail from San diego a someone can drop you off and pick you up.

  5. mexico baja cruise they have 3 or 4 days and they are the cheapest of any other desination

  6. San Diego is getting to be a busy cruise port.  There are three day (weekend) and four day (weekday) cruises that are inexpensive, fun, and give you an example of what cruising is like.  We just took the five day cruise to Cabo San Lucas on Carnival, and it was great.  We made a family reunion cruise out of it, and all had a good time.

The best cruise we liked was a Balkan Cruise on Holland America.   There are also 7 and 10 cruises to Mexico that don't require you to take an airplane.   Probably try those next.

  7. Take a look on Skyauction.com for cheap cruises!  They have some of the best prices I have ever seen.  You might be able to find one that sails from someplace not too far from you (either Dan Diego, or maybe port of LA) that you can drive to, in order to try to keep the cost down.  I personally would suggest an Alaskan cruise, although you will certainly need to go in the summer for that one!

  8. the carnival elation has some cruise at san diego that start as low as $299 for a 5 day mexico cruise i also found a 8 day mexican rivera cruise starting at 429 dollars from san diego on the carnival spirit which is a beautiful ship
