  2. The hotness or cold condition of a body determines  the temperature. Therefore temperature is also known as the degree of hotness of a body.

In other words, heat is a form of energy and temperature is a factor which effects the availability of this energy.

In short, temperature is defined as the condition which determines the flow of heat from one substance to another.

  3. my thermometer tells me and i just believe my thermometer. hopefully it's not lying to me

  4. The average kinetic energy of the atoms and molecules in the substance you are measuring

  5. Temperature is the measurement of the hotness or coldness of a gas, liquid or solid, using the temperatures Fahrenheit or Celsius.

  6. The person that reads the thermometer.

  7. The temperature at the surface is determined by how much solar radiation (the sun raus) that reaches the earth and how much of it is reflected back into space.

If an area has a lot of snow the surface reflects  most of the incoming radiation back towards the sun and is cooler.

If a surface is dark,  it absorbs more radiation and is hotter.

Winds can also push temperatures across the world by something called advection.   Convection lifts air upward.

The location of the earth relative to the sun also plays a biggger factor,  because that determines the seasons.  Closer you are to the sun, the warmer it gets.
