What Direct tv channel can I use to watch anime?

I have Direct tv and I was wondering which channel has anime on it. But I dont want the ones that start at like midnight because I'm not gonna stay up that long.

what's direct tv? i know of only one anime channel, its called animax.

You can get TiVo if you don't want to stay up all night to find your anime.  I have DirecTV and the only channels I have ever found are WB (back in the days of 4kids and Card Captor Sakura), SciFi (animondays), Cartoon Network (Adult Swim & Toonami) and believe it or not, TCM (every once in a while, they show Miyazaki films).  I believe Starz/Encore also shows Saiyuki Reload and some other anime once and a while?  You'll have to check their website for that one.  Anyway, like the user above me said, there is not a dedicated anime channel on DirecTV, so the cable channels will have to do for now.

Direct Tv doesn'tot have a dedicated anime channel. You are more likely to see it on Cartoon Network on Saturday afternoon/evening and late at night during the week.

Encore WAM (one of the movie channels) has anime on there sometimes. I cant remember if it waDirect TVTV oDish Networkrk, but one of them offered a Japanese television package which did show anime, but it was in Japanese and they sometimedidn'tnt show closed captioning/subtitles in english.

In addition to the channels mentioned (Cartoon Network, EncoreWAM, and TCM sometimes), the Sci-Fi channel [244] also plays anime every Monday at 11pm. Right now they're playing 'Gurren-Lagann' and 'Now and Then'

Also IFC (the International Film Channel) [550] also plays anime Thursdays at 8pm, and Fridays at 11pm. Right now on Thursdays they're replaying 'Samurai 7.' On Fridays, it's 'Speed Grapher' and 'Gunslinger Girl.' A great thing about this channel is - there are no commercials and it's unedited. ^_^
