Ok, I am 13 years old. I got my new bike last year and i am just getting into riding a lot. I have a Honda CRF 150F and i ride in the woods and open fields always. I wreck constantly and get bruised up but no serous injuries. I am not planning on starting motocross anytime soon. I am just wondering what equiptment i need to buy just for riding in the woods often.(Pants, Jersey, Chest Protector,etc..)

  1. Hey Brad, the best things that you can invest in at your age are a good pair of gloves, a decent helmet, and some sort of half chest protector. I wouldn't waste money on boots yet for the type of riding you're doing because your feet are still growing and boots are expensive. However, if you're doing any large jumps, I would at least get a good pair of high steel toe boots at walmart or kmart. That will also protect your ankles better and get you used to using foot controls for when you do buy boots. Another thing that is good to have is a kidney belt; these are inexpensive and help back and kidney support while you are riding or if you fall. Try looking on ebay; I find a lot of good deals on riding stuff there and motorcycle shops are expensive. Have fun on that bike!
