  1. Just about anything they can find.

  2. Grains.

  3. I feed the ducks near my house stale bread.

  4. Wild ducks eat a wide variety of aquatic and terristrial plants, as well as aqautic insects and benthos.  Some species eat more plants than animals.  Like the mallard.  They will aslo eat grain, like corn and rice.

The Canada goose is primarily a vegitation consumer.  However, when migrating they will eat grain left in the fields as well as young wheat.  You can see them on golf course eating grass.

One of the worse things a person can do is feed ducks bread.  It has almost no value and has caused some ducks to die.  It would be better to feed them dry dog or cat food.  At least that has some protein in it.

Domestic ducks are raised on a pelleted food or cracked corned mix.

  5. Duck food.

  6. Ducks eat little plankton or algae in the lake and maybe some bread.. geece eat fish and other algae

  7. It depends on the species.   Most ducks are will feed on aquatic plants, seeds, insects, tadpoles, and small fish.

Sea ducks, such as the eider, preys mostly on mollucks and crustaceans as well as fish.

The mergansers are fish eating ducks, although some species, such as the hooded will also include insects, crustaceans, mollusks, tadpoles, and frogs in their diet.

Although they will eat human food, such as bread.  But these type of food are actually harmful to the birds.

As far as  Canadian geese.  They are strictly vegetarian, feeding on grasses and aquatic plants, although they will occasionally esp when young will feed on insects.

  8. Some ducks eat meat but also some ducks eat bread and so do geese and some ducks who are English ducks actually also eat baby geese. is that why you asked the question in the way you did? Cos not lots of people know about the duck and baby geese thing but I suspect that you do but you asked the question to pretend you didn't know but I don't know why,

  9. I assume you mean in the wild. Ducks' diets are actually pretty diverse. Dabbling ducks, as they are so called, like mallards, eat waterborne vegetation by pecking at, or "dabbling" at the surface of ponds and lakes. Some ducks also eat other aquatic plants, and even grass. Yet others are omnivores, also consuming frogs, worms, insects, and small fish. And lastly, there are specialized carnivores like mergansers, that consume larger fish.

But, ducks living around urban areas, like parks, will basically eat anything, yeah...They go crazy for stale bread.

Oh, and Canadian geese mostly eat grass and aquatic plants; they also filter feed sediment.
