  1. It's not an arm bar; it's a folded up wrist lock behind the back that's all! It was taken from the Aikido--Su-ie-kie  hold, or better known as what I said earlier.... It is applied amoung law enforcement officers.

  2. its kinda like an americana...never seen it done standing tho... not an arm bar....arm bar is when you hyperextend the elbow

  3. in wrestling its usually called a hammerlock, every once in a while you meet someone who calls it a cobra, because it frequently comes from the cobra series(which isn't used much right now). I personally don't use it much, but it is a good way either to set up a turn, or a good move to use in combination with another to turn someone, such as a half, crossface, several tilts or to be taken back into one of the many finishes of the cobra.  it can also be taken into an armbar(wrestling not bjj version), though I believe the other options are easier and better, you can get the armbar as a last resort if the other guy starts slipping their arm out of the hammerlock, thats usually the easiest time to get the armbar from there, and you have to let go og the hammerlock to take the armbar anyway.

  4. its a hammerlock.. arm bar?? that guy isnt serious is he?

  5. an arm bar

  6. thats not a real wrestling move its more of a self defense move like the cops might use

  7. In English, that's a hammerlock.  It's used by police as a restraint technique.
