  1. Yeah you need a visa, most likely either an H-1B visa (employer-sponsored) or a plain old green card (also employer-sponsored after having had an H-1B, or family-sponsored, e.g. you marry a US citizen).

    Don't worry about becoming a US citizen yet because that is too far down the road to worry about. Your main worry is to gain permanent residence (a.k.a. green card). After 5 years of permanent residence, then you can apply for citizenship. It's 3 years instead of 5 if you're married to a US citizen (and your spouse must be the same throughout those 3 years).


  2. You need to be married to a US citizen or be sponsored for a job in the US by an employer.  Either process is long and drawn out and not for the weak.
