God of War is an absolutely stunning gaming series that uses ancient Greece as its background.

While the storyline is new, and involves a character called Kratos, the characters he meets are all known from popular Greek literature and mythic stories.

Elements such as Hades, winged horses and epic boss encounters against real gods really make this game stand out at the moment, and is clearly the biggest reason to buy a PS3 for when the third game comes out.

It is excellent, if your into violence. The Greek mythology is completely wrong though, but if you don't know anything about that, it will make sense to you as you play through the game. Trust me, it's an extremely fun game.

Right now, one of the few reasons I'm planning on buying a PS3 before the final game comes out next year. An absolutely great series.
