The Giants Are Thinking Of Trading Ray Durham For Three Minors. I Like It And Dislike It ! He Was One Of The Players That Kept The Giants Going But He Had One Of The Highest Salaries And In Order For The Giants Buy More Players They Need Money !

What Do You Think?

  1. I think it was a good trade for both teams. The brewers are in contention to go try and make it to the play offs and i hear their second baseman ricky weeks hasnt been playing that well. Ray Durham will help them out, cause he is a smart hitter who when healthy contributes to the team.

Even though i enjoyed watching Ray Durham, he often was injured and his defense wasnt great at times. The Giants have been a big suprise this year, but the problem is they have no consistent threat in there lineup. There is no player in the giants lineup who is a 40 hr hitter like other teams have. Can u imagine Amaris Ramirez and dereck lee on the giants. By just adding those two the giants could win the division for sure, cause the nl west isnt a very tough division.

And plus by getting rid of durham the giants will have money to spend and get to see the team go even younger. It would be good if the giants signed a mark ellis in the offseason cause he is a free-agent, but they do have kevin Frandsen. And the two player the giants got look like good prospects especially darrel Ford CF. Check out his stats.

  2. Let's face it, the Giants are going nowhere this season and the time to prepare for the future is NOW! Durham is a good ballplayer and the Giants got potential future major league players for him. I don't think this will be the last trade they make either. If they can get prospects for some of their aging veteran players, why not?

  3. I think it was a great move for the Brewers but since I am a Cub fan I must admit that I hate that they did it because Ray Durham is a really good player.

When I heard that, I thought, "Well what are the Cubs gonna do to counter?" but unlike the CC Sabathia deal, we dont need to counter that move because we already have enough depth.

  4. His average is where I want it to be but I wouldn't mind trading some players for some other players that could actually hit.

And honestly I dont think Durham is worth three prospects, we need an amazing player with lots of potential like Matt Cain to get decent prospects, Durham is past his prime now and is probably  better off with the Giants than being traded.

You should see the A's, they got a buttload of prospects from different teams just by trading their two greatest pitchers on the staff, now they're going to end up like the old A's where they normally dominated with players that started with the A's.

I don't understand what the Giants problem is right now, our best starter Tim Lincecum actually lost to the Brewers, I was shocked to see he gave up 2 homers and a grand total of 5 RBIs, its hard watching him suffer. Its like watching a crazy man beat a helpess kitten, something you would never want to watch.

  5. i just saw him on TV wearing a brewers uniform. kinda weird, but giant fans will always cheer for him!

of all the giant veterans, durham was the most valuable, and the giants are making moves toward the future, which is good.
