What Does Eye Exercise Do?

My doctor and my mom forces me to do eye exercises. I have two eye doctor. One doctor is for my contact and the other is just for my regular eye doctor that I need to see for one time a year. They all prefer the same suggestions that I should do eye exercise. Meaning that, I focus on one object directly closely and look at another object farther for a few seconds. What do they do. I didn't want surgery either and they say eye exercise solves the problem. I have tried them on for a few days but I have nothing affected by my right lazy eye. It just keeps on looking at the left when I look straight at people.

  1. Eye exercises take up to a year to fully work! You will probably be able to see small changes in two months though, as long as you keep doing the exercises. Whatever exercises you do may seem pointless, but since your eye has been ignored by your brain for most of your life, you are basically teaching it to see all over again. I went through a similar program for my lazy eye, and I have developed control of the muscles in my eye, so it doesn't turn out any more. It took about a year, but it was worth it. Trust me, just follow the doctor's instructions; just be patient and you will see results!
