What Does Stock Paint mean? ?

because aren't they the same as paints?

  1. Breeding stock paints are registered through APHA but cannot be shown in APHA competitions. They can be bred to other registered paints and have registered foals.


  2. They have the "roots" to be registered as a Paint..but solid colored without spots, patches, etc.

    If I'm not mistaken they are referred to as "Solid Paint Bred".

  3. Its a paint horse without the patches of white.

  4. A stockbred paint is a paint horse (by lineage) that has no visible spots.
