  1. Well, I think it's Benvolio saying they shall 'come too late' to the party at Juliet's house, but Romeo, showing foresight of what is to come i.e. them dying etc (which is a common theme throughout the play) 'fears too early' - he thinks that something bad will happen as a consequence of him going, which is of course perfectly true. The 'stars', symbolise fate, astrology being very popular in Elizabethan England and again a very common theme in the play ('I am fortune's fool', etc. etc.)


  2. Basically it's saying..

    I'm worrying over something that hasn't happened yet.

    My mind comes up with consequences for events that haven't even occured.

  3. Just a guess, but sounds to me like a longwinded expression for a premonition-type feeling that something bad is going to happen.  Intuition. Foreboding.

    Written in the stars (hanging in the stars)
