"Former ECW champion Bobby Lashley has signed a non-exclusive, two-bout MMA contract with American Fight League.  He will be competing in two fights for the company, the first of which is scheduled for October.  Lashley apparently intends to use these two bouts to acclimate himself to MMA competition before seeking a deal with one of the bigger promotions, such as UFC or Elite XC.  In terms of returning to wrestling, Lashley has said that he will take indy bookings on a limited basis.  Although TNA has reportedly expressed interest in Lashley, he prefers to focus on starting his MMA career before considering a full-time wrestling commitment."
