well it can be both ways.

Bebo and my space got A LOT of skins but facebook have none. facebook is VERY similar to bebo but i think that you can have more application boxes on your profile. I got bebo AND facebook, so personally if you want your umm...profile to be nice then use bebo. but facebook in my own opinion is much more funner and more interesting.

It's kinda like myspace, but you would normally join a network based by your city, school, etc, as to myspace, it is more open and can communicate with people from anywhere in the world.
