What FREE downloadable software can I use to rip audio off a youtube video?

Question

Audacity does not work, and I need audio clips from some youtube videos for a project I'm working on. It would be nice if the software was easy to use too :)

Oh, and before anything gets said about copyrights, I am going to contact the people whose videos they are to ask for permission to use the audio.

it is the easiest  (and also the  fastest) way.

Not sure about Audio but Real Player does a good job of Video and Audio. You just install it and a box pops up to ask if you want to download then you click it. It is really simple.

Ive tried vixy.net and didnt have much luck with it. Was kinda slow. I downloaded DVDvideosoft Free Studio. It has ALOT of programs on there. You download the thing as a whole. But there are different sub apps that can be installed (like add ons) I  have the youtube video ripper and audio extracter. Its really great and quite quick.

Ok dude I have actually done lots of projects using this program with it you can actually download the video into either  mp3 (only sound great for songs in projects)  or into the whole video one it s very use full :)
