Hi Everyone, I live in Australia and I just wanted to ask a few questions I have my horses on a pretty good feed but they tend to get board with it over time . What would you recommend for 2 Miniature ponies one 28inch (7hh) little mare and a 36 inch (9hh) little gelding and a 7 year old Andalusian Mare 14.2 with non cancerous melanomas (all over her body) non of them are in any type of work they do NOT get ridden so my question is what would you recommend for them as in bucket feeds and hay ?? and what do you do with the feed (eg; add ++ water or other things etc ). What did the food do to your horse for example: shinny coat , behaved much better, etc . And also is there ANY horse feed you would NOT recommend ?? and why ?? What where the effects it had on your horse ?? also if you are not too sure about weights etc just list the feed/s and approximately how much each bag cost so (for eg; * Milrun $15.00 [approx] for a 25kg bag in SE QLD )

but could you please if you are going to list a few different feeds please put for example : Milrun 10% ,copra 10% , pony pellets 3% and chaff 70% and barley hay 7% (that is just a example ) so its out f 100% so I can work out there feed amounts thanks heaps Kristie

  1. I feed Strategy to my mare and I've never looked back. Purina makes it and everyone I know uses it. It's honestly the best feed I've used.

  2. Instead of asking us what worked for our horses, I would talk to your vet about what your horses need. If they aren't worked, they probably don't really need grains. Your vet would know best, though.

  3. the stable i board at only feeds aweet feed but it makes my tb super hot
