What File Type is created by "Print to File" with FireFox?

Question

When you use "Print to File" in firefox, it creates a file with no extension. What type of file is created. I have tried opening it with tools designed to open:

.tiff

.png.

.bmp

.jpg

.bmp

.dvi

and, of course, .ps

Every time I get an error.

PDFCreator is a free tool to create PDF files from nearly any Windows application, including Firefox.
