What Forms Would a Canadian need to File To Marry A American?

Well...my boyfriend and I want to get married. He lives in New Brunswick, Canada and I live in Pennslyvania.

If he wants to move to Pennslyvaina what forms would he have to file and how much would it cost?

If I want to move to Canada what would I need to file?

    As you may notice there is one application if you are already living in Canada, another if you are living still in the US.  Generally.. or so I've heard.. it is faster to apply while you are still living in the US.  You could continue to work in the US and visit your guy when you have time or he can visit you and in 6 to 9 months, you would have your permanent residence status and then you can move.  The other method would be for you to move to Canada to live with him and then apply.  The problem with that is that you would not have a work permit and you would have iffy status, meaning that they will not deport you while your application is being processed but if you had to go to the US during that time, you might not get back in.  It could take you 6-9 months just to get a temporary work permit while your application for PR status continues to be processed.  The cost of the application is $500 to start and another $500 closer to the end.
