What Fundraisers raise a lot of money?

So im in this group and we need to raise a lot of money (atleast 2,000). Does anybody know of any fundraising ideas that we could do to raise this money?

i'm in a program called people to people and it cost me about that much to go on the trip. what i did was collected cans and recycled them. i got about 400$ from doing that. i also sent a letter to bill gates and got 100$ from him. the rest i got from walking dogs and baby sitting. You can also ask small local buisnesses to sponser you....but that almost never works.
