  1. pre-heat oven on gas mark 6

stab the potatoe with your fork all over a few times so that it doesnt explode (because air will be trapped in it and the only way it can escape is to explode) .. very messy

    wash it

put it on a baking tray

put in oven for 1-2hours (depending on how large the potatoe is)

  2. this is how i do mine, stick them with a fork or knife all round and put them in the microwave for 12 minutes turn half way through. then put them in the oven on 4 or 5 gas 200 electric for 15 min or until they are crisp on the outside. good luck

  3. Hi lol it all depends on your oven, but I would say gas mark 6 for bloody ages lol they take so long in the oven, and you can wrap and yep put them on a try  them in foil first, just keep checking them if they are cooking too quick turn over down to 5, whenever we cook them they take about 2 hours.

So we just do them in the micowave now, first stab them, put them on high for 10 mins then turn after 10 mins and put them back in for 5 mins if they are small potatoes and 10 mins if they are large you just cannot use the foil though.

  4. prick it all over....give it 6-7 mins in the microwave & then brush it with olive oil & put it on a baking dish, into the oven on 200 (is that about No.6 ?..think so)  for about 15mins to give it a crispy skin.

  5. I Prick it all over 1st, then put in the microwave for 15 mins, then in the oven on Gas Mark 5 for 40 mins , no foil.

It will be lovely and soft on the inside and nice and crispy on the outside..God you have made me want one know.

    ENJOY x

  6. stab it then put it in for a houre or so on 180c

Or if you have a microwave stab it then out it in for about 10-15 mins:)

  7. Well, wash them first, then gently rub some salt into the skin to help make them crispy (if that's your thing).

Prick with fork (!) about 10 times, so it doesn't split.

You can wrap in foil, or just place directly in the oven. Middle of the oven, Gas Mark 4 should do.  If no in foil, turn after an hour and check them out. Cooked, they are softer and the skin is hardened - if you stick a fork in it should go in and come out easily.  It's hard to over-cook them.

Mine always seem to take ages, so longer the better - depends on size of potato, but at least 2 hours.

I've never had much success in microwave for them.
