By the time I need to use the answer to this question, I will have 2 years (I currently have 1) teaching experience in a private after-school English language school in Korea and my BA in Media Communications. I'm currently making $2,000 a month with a $2,000 end of year bonus and a free apartment. (Next year, I'll be making $2,300/month.) I'm trying to think what I could possibly do back in the States (St. Louis, MO) that could match this without getting more education.
I'm pretty interested in education, but I don't have a degree in it, and I'm kind of intimidated at the idea of getting a MA in ed. and then being a full-time classroom teacher. I'm used to teaching groups of kids 1/2 the size of a public school classroom (max 10 kids, and that's a lot!).
I like teacher assistant jobs (I've subbed for that position during college and really liked it.) but I know the pay is, at best, maybe 1/2 what I'm getting here.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
