What Gloves do I need for Sparring?

My coach wants me to buy some gloves for sparring.. What do I buy? Are training gloves considered sparring gloves? Help..

And I need USA Boxing Approves Headgear.. Thanks.

training gloves can be gloves you would use to spar with and they can also be bag gloves. training gloves are any gloves you use to train with; that's why they are called training gloves and not competition gloves.

12oz gloves are fine for sparring, as for the head gear, make sure the one you buy has an apporved stamp on it, if it's stamped.... you cant go wrong.
