  1. for ur first guitar i would get an electric, it's more fun lol. u can rock out ;]

ur mom probably wants u to get an acoustic b/c it's not as loud and when ur starting out u may not sound that great and she probably doesn't want to be annoyed.

a hollow body guitar is basically a better made guitar.

    think hollow= audi

    solid body = toyota

the hollow body is kind of a mix between acoustic and electric meaning u can play the guitar with or with out an amp and it would sound OK.

the hollow body guitar is bigger and a lot more expensive. it might not be the best beginner guitar b/c it might be a pain to hold.

i think u mean a 12 string guitar? not 12 inch? u should NOT start with a 12 string guitar at all. they are a lot more complicated to play and not many songs have a use for them.

double neck for a beginner, no way. WAAY to big and bulky, you would be having a very hard time holding it. plus they are VERY heavy, so u would only want to use it for song or two, not for practicing, etc. the normal double neck has a combo of a twelve string neck and a six string neck. some have six strings and four strings, for bass.

ill give u some recomendations, u can order off this site, but u SHOULDN'T. u should go to local music store and try on different guitars and get a feel for them. is it comfortable, are the frets to far away, etc.

i wouldn't go with a really cheap guitar, id go with something mid range, unless u can afford something more then id say get a really good one.

also, get a brand name like fender, gibson ibanez, etc.

my PERSONAL pic for a first time guitar would be a fender strat, they're fun, easy to play, come in a variety of finishes and are really cool looking!

hope i helped :] please choose a best answer?

  2. you are starting guitar at the right time, Acoustic or electric is entirely your prefference, if you get an acoustic get a dean acoustic cheap and beautifull, strings for an acoustic deanmarkely alchemy, if you get an electric get a squier with 9 gague strings, Oh and a double neck guitar is 2 guitars in one a twelve string and a six string

  3. You can get an electric guitar. As a starting guitar i recommend a squier strat or epiphone les paul

squier and epiphone are cheap and/or beginner versions of fender and gibson

the strings dont matter yet. i like thinner strings for speed

a double neck is a fancy guitar that has two necks (the long rods that the strings go on top of) they are usually one neck has six string and the other neck has 12

    hope i helped

  4. .....the good kind! hahahaha
