  1. Doesn't look bad but there's no way of knowing by looking at an ad on the Internet.  They don't say what brand the guitar is, and I don't like the line about how "no two are alike" -- that doesn't bode well for consistency of quality, does it?

I don't advise buying musical instruments sight-unseen over the Internet, especially no-name "bargain" instruments.  There's just no way of knowing what you're getting.  You should go to a reputable local guitar store and try out a bunch of different guitars.  Find one that feels comfortable when you hold it in your hands, and that sounds the way you want a guitar to sound.  If you have a guitar playing friend, bring him/her along to help you evaluate the different guitars.  Then, after you pick out 2 or 3 guitars that you think you like, have your guitar playing friend or one of the store sales people play each of the guitars you like while you listen with your back turned.  Make sure they play each guitar through the same amp. The one that sounds the best to you is the one you should get.

  2. Electric Guitars are a little easier to play but acoustic guitars are easier on your wallet.

    Ask yourself these questions:

Are you going to be fully committed?

Are you going to be able to carry the financial burden?

If both answers are yes, then an electric guitar is a must-have!!! =]
