I have been lucky enough to obtain a free Sky + box through the recommend a friend scheme & I’m now gonna have Sky Multiroom so I’m looking to replace my little 14” portable TV in my Bedroom. I wondered if anyone can offer any advice on what to replace it with, please? I have a limited budget £300 but equally I want to make the best use of my budget. I can accommodate up to a 32” tv & want to get HD so I can upgrade in the future if I want to. I also want to be able to attach my Mac laptop to the tv. Any feedback/advice would be greatly appreciated!

  1. Panasonic (Made in Japan) not Korea.

  2. Samsung has several TV's that are HD and affordable. I bought one just about 8 months ago at Best Buy.  Retail on it was like $900, but I found the same TV on the internet for just $500, so the store (which was close by) honored the pricing and I can use my laptop with it.  I am very happy with it.  Crisp and clean pictures.  I would suggest searching the internet then comparing prices at a local store.  Do the research though, you want something like that to last.  Good luck.

  3. What is HD tv? I know there are lcd screens. Reasonable quality. Then there are crt screens ( ancient and junky). Then there is a new type of tv comming out which is a mixture of crt and plasma. That'll be insane. By HD do you mean HD dvd? that's off the market now and is no longer supported. Also you can't connect your laptop to your tv. Your budget isn't very high to get fancy things like that.
