What Happen When U Use Regular Detergent for HE qualified front load washer?

Question

ok, we've been using regular detergent for a few days now

I do some search in yahoo question and mostly the result is SUDSING

what is sudsing? I'm not really sure what it is.

will it ruin the washer? cause we just got a new one

if it's gonna ruin the washer, tell me how, because my parent is so obnoxious, they're like "they're stupid, they just put that to make us buy expensive detergent, we can use anything we want"

No, it wont ruin your washer, but it wont get your clothes clean. HE washing detergent makes less suds (bubbles); so basically by using regular detergent you're using too much soap. Your clothes will still have soap residue in them.

If you keep using it in about a year your washer will have the most horrible obnoxious smell and you will have to get your clothes out of the wash not one second after they are washed or they will reek. This can happen in those HE machines even when you use the right detergent but is certain if you don't. Put " moldy smell in front load washers" in your search engine and you will find it is a very common problem. I bought a set,hated them and returned them and got a top loader with an agitator. Good luck with yours.

It's fine!!!!  The hc soap just creates less suds....I have a front loader and use regular soap -- It's fine

ok i have this situation to if you r gonna buy regular detergent just mix it with a little water when you fill the cup add some water that should save you money and time.

We use both and our LG front loader has been perfect for the 3 years weve had it.

oversudsing really means that there is alot of suds and the clothes kinda tumble and float rather than thrashing against the side. it still gets the clothes clean though and it rinses out fine.

In the UK there is only front loaders but the powder is very sudsy and acts like a toploader powder.
