What Happened To Gagne ...?

Question

I used to hate watching my Braves come up to bat against him! Now I think Most College and High school kids can crank one on him. I'm just kiddin' but right now the ESPN announcer who called him Gagme is correct. He flat out stinks and I want to know what happened to his skills? Talk to me!

very few highschool kids would crank on him. I do think he's lost a little velocity and maybe that is due to no roids but he's not adjusted properly with his location to compensate

He's one of about 50 players that were good until the whole steroid scandal started.

Clearly something was going on to make him that good.  He was average before the juice and now he's horrible now that he's off it again.

HGH is a helluva drug.

Well he had pitched pretty good up until today. He just had a baby and he only had pitched 2/3 of an inning since returning until today. Of course now he is off the HGH he isn't going to be able to throw as hard, but after the all star break he was pretty sharp. Definitely not the same guy he used to be, but he has had his highs and his lows this year. Hopefully he can come on and help shore up the bullpen.

As a number of other answers point out, the Mitchell Report determined that Gagne was using illegal substances while with the Dodgers.  They even attached copies of the UPS and Fed Ex overnight labels from convicted drug dealer Kirk Radomski to Eric Gagne, Home Club House, Dodger Stadium, 1000 Elysian Parkway, Los Angeles, CA.  I mean, how dumb do you have to be?  Get a mail box in another part of town at a Mail Boxes Etc under an assumed name if you are going to mail order drugs.  Nothing like making a federal case out of it by having your juice shipped over state lines.

He got caught juicing. He's just not very good without the aid of illegal substances. All of his career records prior to this year were achieved while he was 'roided up.
