What Happened To Lilly On ATWT?

Where is Martha Byrd you know the real Lilly , I don't really care to much for this new chic, Iv been watching for 20 years and she ( Martha) has been Lilly from day one. Is she coming back?

Martha Byrne left due to problems with her pay and number of days she would be working. As of lately, there are no new plans to bring back Martha.

Have you given Noelle Beck a chance? I was very concerned about Martha leaving, but when Noelle first appeared- I immediately began to like her. She is a very talented actress, in my opinion, and is effectively pulling off this storyline. I believe she is doing a better job than Martha would in this situation.

All in all, I would have to say I like Noelle MORE than Martha...and if I'm the only one, I'm the only one. We're all entitled to our own opinions.

I would have to agree with you about the new Lily. I just can not get used to her. I have been watching ATWT for a long time and Holden and the new Lily have zero chemistry(in my opinion)... From what I have read in some of her interviews she asked to work the same amount of days this year as she did last year, apparently they did not want to put that in her contract. No I unfortunalely do not think she will be back. There was an interview a few months back in soap opera digest with Martha Byrn and she said no hard feelings but not to expect her back. I think you can go to soap opera digest online and read that article just put in her name and it should pull up all her interviews.

But I agree I am not to fond of the new lily. I just assume Holden get with Carly now.

I miss martha byrne as well. IMO the new lily (noelle beck) doesn't really suit the part as well as martha.

While i don't think "new lily" fits the role the way it had always been written, i do agree that "new lily" is better with this storyline...

The fact that this actress has NO chemistry with the actor playing Holden, allowed his character to have the affair with Carley and viewers to almost start to root for them.  If "real lily" were still in the picture, everyone would still want Lily and Holden together.

"New Lily" has more chemistry with "Mike" than "Holden" so the storyline works.

AND for what its worth, this actress is talented... she just doesn't fit the Lily we all knew and loved (the way Martha did!)
