What Happened to Jr.?

Question

I didn't see the race last night but I know Jr. finished bad. What happened to him? They said something about a 4-tire pit stop.

He didn't have a good car last night. True, he started in second, and ended up mid pack after a bad pit call. But, he was unable to pass with his car, and was just stuck in the same spot most of the night.

There was not a lot of passing last night for those who did not have good cars. Kenseth, Johnson and Kyle Busch had great cars. Tony and Carl Edwards had good cars early on and midway through, but weren't in contention for the win at the end. Harvick's car got better as the night wore on, and he was there at the end wanting a win as well.

his first pit stop was horrible, and then he couldnt get out of 21st at all.  finished 16th.  not a horrible finish but not good

The 88 just missed the setup last night. This is the first time I can recall the 88 being so bad in a race all year. In fact all the HMS cars struggled except the 48. No worries Jr is still 2nd in the points and he should rebound nicely at Indy.

...wow, if i had a dollar for everytime someone commented on a jr. question by saying, "he has no talent", or "he's only where he's at because of his name" I'd be as rich as Jr....seriously ppl if he didnt have any talent, he wouldn't be 2nd in the points, and he would probably be goofing off in the commentating booth with that "real no talent" kyle petty or on Dave Despains show with micheal waltrip...but to answer your question jr had a terrible pit stop early in the race

He didn't have a good car.  There should be no excuse about getting caught up in the middle of the pack. After kenseth was lucky dog, he restarted 30th with 40 or so laps to go and worked his way back up to 7th.

he was complaing all night long on how tight his car was

his car was great during practice on Thurs. day was in the top 5

but the weather changed and his car wasn't right the rest of the weekend  a big rainstorm on friday night and cooled of a lot between pratice and the race

After his pit stop he got caught up in the middle of the pack and there was just no way out. They were running 3 - 4 wide. It wasn't a pretty finish but he didn't loose any ground in the standings other than points. That's a good thing.  =o`)

He had a bad pit stop. He said that the car was too tight, etc. But wait til the next race. He'll win! He'll do great! Hope all the drivers have a great 2-week vacation! :)

I dont know what happened, but it was nice not to have to hear about him every ten seconds toward the end of the race.

Im sure whatever caused him the finish outside of the top ten had nothing to do with his driving though.  It had to be someone else's fault.

terrible pit stop early in the race, and a tight car, he was lucky to finish 16th, he was like 21,22,23 most of the night.. Still 2nd in the pts, Burton didn;t have that great of a night either. Hopefully these two guys bad luck is over for a while, time for Rowdy to have some.

jr is, how do i put this, OVERRATED.  he is not his dad, but when big E died, all those fans needed somewhere to invest their HUGE fanbase.  too bad the kid cant live up to the expectations.  sorry just keepin~it~real.
