  1. Yes you get treatment! They will not let you die. They take you to a prison hospital ward and will give you treatment when you need it.

  2. You will be put in the jail ward.

  3. Yes, you still get treatment. I was at the center where my grandma gets treated, a few years back this woman got arrested. They do not just pull you off the machine, they waited and after her treatment they escorted her out. They did cuff her and read her her rights while she was on the machine, though. And, one officer stayed in the room with her.

She, was arrested and we didn't see her for like six months. When she came back, she told us she liked it. The jail has it's own medical staff, And they have a room with a few machines since there are a few patients in jail. She explained she went to jail over her kids. In illinois you can get jail time for things your kids do. She said jail sucked pretty much, but that she did like that she didn't have to pay for the treatments. She saved money by going to jail, cause her treatment got paid by the tax payers. While with the insurance she has, her copay was bankrupting her.

No they don't just let you die, and from what I hear from the patients at the center they say the prison nurses were better at working the machines, they didn't miss veins as much, and they monitored the machines better. The prison was cleaner then the private clinic alot of these older patients end up at. At least for the to states I've been taking patients to. which would be California and Illinois.

  4. Even if you were put on death row they would treat you until the day of your execution if necessary.  Maybe even force it on you if you refused.

  5. THEY HAVE TO TEND TO ALL OF YOUR MEDICAL NEEDS. SOME PEOPLE ACTUALLY GET ARRESTED IN ORDER TO GET MEDICAL ATTENTION AND TEMPORARY HOUSING DURING THE WINTER MONTHS.

  6. Wow, Abe, if what that woman said is true, she must've got the 5 star prison.  I sure as hel didn't, the "infimary" was filthy, while you were waiting to see the doc you had to wait in a holding cell with any other women that were waiting, the cell was filthy, it was really gross for a medical ward.  You don't get first-rate care, if you're in yur cell and its locked down for the night, you can very rarely get medical attention, unless its a dire emergency, no matter how much pain you might be in.  They do have a responsibility to keep you alive, but I would MUCH rather be in a regular hospital.

I was also interested in what Abe said about doing time for what your kids have done, I've never heard of it, and don't know all the details, but to me, its ounds like a great way for kids to learn how to get out of taking responibillity for their own actions.  But maybe I'm understanding the principal wrong.

  7. They will send you to the infirmary to get the treatment that you need.
